The Sonardyne Wideband Sub-Mini 6 Plus (WSM 6+) is a versatile USBL transponder/responder that is used for positioning and tracking subsea ROV, towfish, crane wires and other mobile targets, as well as tether management systems. The omni-directional beacon features a 1,000 m depth rating and is suitable for a wide range of general USBL tracking applications, while the directional transducer provides high power and a depth rating of 4,000 m.

Both types have a depth sensor to aid USBL positioning accuracy, as well as an external power switch to preserve battery power when not in use.
The compact and rugged WSM 6+ offers full two-way Wideband interrogation and reply signals, and has incorporated the latest Sonardyne Wideband2 signal technology, offering superior ranging accuracy and quick position updates.
